Founded in 2014 and based in Madison, Mississippi, the Essie B. and William Earl Glenn Foundation for Better Living (also Glenn Family Foundation or “GFF”) is a sibling-inspired, family-focused, and community-based non-profit organization with a mission to create thriving communities for all–children, youth, and families. GFF works to address adverse health conditions plaguing rural, dispossessed Mississippi communities that bear burdens of poverty, chronic disease, and premature death. Throughout the organization’s lifespan, GFF has confronted challenges of working within communities with limited access to healthcare and resources and has been implementing community-engaged research and innovative programs with high value and high impact.

I-HEAL Initiative - Recap
The Essie B. & William Earl Glenn Foundation for Better Living hosted participants from across the Delta to receive fresh fruits and vegetables, flu shots, COVID-19 At-home Test and vaccinations, blood pressure and diabetes checks, and other health assessments, along with helpful information on available community resources.
